I recently listened to one of the many videos I've got on my downloads, a really good talk from one of my favorite speakers....
There are times in our lives when we go low on mojo and fall out of love with our job, business, pursuit, or art. Where the vocation we loved so much becomes a chore or labor, if we ever begin to function from that state, we'll eventually grow cold one day.
So we have to realign ourselves with that which we love, loving the processes, the people, the procedures of activities, and turning problems into opportunities. Operating from the energy level of love makes everything a whole lot better. You'll be tired too but you'll love the outcome you'd love what the love does to you. Fall in love with your work again.
These were the not-so-exact words of the speaker.
Most times we become lazy and laziness is just momentary if we can ignite the spark again. Remind yourself more often why you started the pursuit.
If you're in love but you still have problems with Mr. La..., here are auxiliary things to note.
Avoid perfectionism
The unrealistic expectations of perfection can lead to a crippling fear of failure. Perfectionists usually tie their sense of value to their success which prevents them from starting anything because of the fear of not being good enough. Laziness can become a by-product of this mind state.
Stop negative self-talk
Treat yourself right by speaking the right words. Be positive because negative is dangerous. Perspective is very important and you can counterattack how you feel with some good talking. 'I can do it' drains anxiety and causes a decrease in stress levels while increasing levels of self-esteem. Anxiety, stress, and low self-esteem are precursors of laziness.
Positive self-talk increases motivation.
Create the How-to
After you create goals make sure to create an action plan. Having an action plan makes it easier to accomplish the goals. They help you finish the project in order. When there is no plan at all, the goals become vague and unachievable. So, you'd be sitting still and maybe wondering why you can't move.
Use your strengths, ask for help
You would better perform when you focus on what you have than what you don't. People who are all over their weaknesses often undermine their strengths.
Using your abilities would make you more confident and you'd function at a higher energy level when you do with what comes naturally. You are sure to experience joy, fulfillment, a greater potential for success, and the positivity to keep doing.
Seeking help doesn't make you weak either, it only makes you worry less about the things you can't handle. People are available to play other roles.
Celebrate little wins and exercise too.
So, get up, no lazy.
